接続詞の慣用句

He is so kind that everyone likes him.
彼は親切なのでみんな彼が好きだ。
He is such an honest man that everyone trusts him.
彼はとても正直な男なのでみんな彼を信用している。
I left the door open so that my cat could come in.
私は自分の猫が入ってこれるようにドアを開けておいた。

So 形容詞／副詞 that S+V　あまりに～なのでＳがＶする
I was so tired that I went to bed at 8 o'clock.
私はあまりに疲れていたので８時に寝た。

such 名詞 that S+V　あまりに～なのでＳがＶする
He is such an honest man that everybody trusts him.
彼はとても正直な人だったのでみんなが彼を信用する。

so that S+V　ＳがＶするように
I locked the door so that nobody could enter.
私は誰も入ってこれないようにドアに鍵をかけた。

so～thatとsuch～thatは同じような意味ですが、使い方が違います。
This magazine is so interesting that I buy it every month.

Trains are so punctual in Japan that many people get irritated if their train is only 5 minutes late.
日本では電車はとても時間に正確なので、多くの人々は自分の電車がたった５分遅れただけでもいただつ。
punctual・・・時間厳守
irritated・・・いらだった

It was beautiful weather yesterday, so I lay down on the lawn to sunbathe.
昨日はとても美しい天気だったので、私は日光浴するために庭の芝生の上で寝ころんだ。
lawn・・・芝生
lie down・・・寝ころぶ
sunbathe・・・日光浴する
