前置詞不要の動詞

I entered the room and got dressed.
私はその部屋に入って服を着た。
We discussed the matter in the meeting.
私たちはその件について会議で議論した。
The typhoon is approaching Japan.
その台風が日本に近づいている。
He mentioned it several times in the meeting.
彼はそれについて数回、会議で言及した。
He married a very rich woman.
彼はとてもお金持ちな女性と結婚した。
We reached the hotel at 2:00.
私たちはホテルに２時に着いた。
I have to attend the meeting.
私はそのミーティングに出席しなければならない。

動詞の中には日本語から考えると前置詞が必要に感じながら、実際は前置詞不要という動詞がいくつかあります。

enter　入る　intoは不要
He entered the room and locked the door.
彼はその部屋に入り鍵をかけた。
discuss　議論する　aboutは不要
We discussed the problem for a long time.
私たちはその問題を長い間話し合った。
approach　近づく　toは不要
The man approached her and said something.
その男は彼女に近づいて何か言った。
marry　結婚する　withは不要
I want to marry the man but my parents don't agree.
私はその男性と結婚したいが、両親が賛成していない。
reach　届く・着く　toは不要
By the time we reached the village we were tired.
私たちはその村に着く頃には疲れていた。
attend　出席する　atは不要
I attended Mary's farewell party.
私はメアリーの送別会に出席した。

The average annual income of office workers aged 30-40 reached $70000 this year.
３０－４０才のサラリーマンの平均年収は今年７００００ドルに達した。
average・・・平均の
annual・・・年の
aged 30-40・・・３０才から４０才の

大学院留学生もこのコースに出席するのを歓迎します。
overseas・・・海外の
graduate student・・・大学院生
A is welcome to do・・・Ａが～するのは歓迎だ

Synopsis

前置詞の働き　後ろの名詞とセットになって動詞や名詞を説明する
I put the doll in the box. 箱の中に置く
I like the doll in the box.　箱の中の人形

基本的な前置詞
時間を表す　in/ on/ at　in+比較的長い時間　in the year
                                   on+日を表す語      on my birthday
　　　　　　　　　　　　at+時刻　　　　　at 5:30
