１．能力のない、無能な、役立たない
２．（高齢、病気などで)無資格の、無能力の

incompetentを使った英文
The reason why he got fired was that he was incompetent.
（彼がクビになったのは彼が無能だからだった。）
get fired・・・クビになる
incompetent・・・無能な

関係副詞　why
The reason why I like her is that she is kind.
（私が彼女を好きな理由は彼女親切だということです。）
先行詞はreasonのみで何の理由かを表します。

No one knows the reason why he did it.
（彼がそれをやった理由を誰も知らない。）
The reason why I study English is that I want to live in the U.S.
（私が英語を勉強している理由はアメリカに住みたいからです。）
